a leader must also have faith in the people she is to lead
to see good in them and raise them to higher achievement
through praise not condemnation, encouragement not criticism

Collective Worship

17th September 2019 - Leading Collective Worship Training

2019 - 2020 Collective Worship Resources

The training will launch the new resources for supporting you in delivering Collective Worship in your school.  We know this means there will be a few weeks to cover early in the autumn term.  We hope this will be a great opportunity for you to focus on your school’s vision and associated values.

The following website is going to be an integral part of the resources produced and you will be able to utilise this before attending the training / accessing the DBE resources online.  LINK HERE

Websites to Aid Your Planning

The documents, links and resources on this page of the website are here to help schools in their planning of Collective Worship.  They are not intended to be used as an 'off-the-shelf' solution to delivering daily acts of Collective Worship in schools.

We recommend colleagues take a look at following websites to enhance the Collective Worship in your school:

Roots & Fruits

Jack in the Box

Prayer Spaces in Schools

Barnabus in Schools

Big Start Assemblies

RE Online provide an excellent overview of festivals and significant dates for all faiths which we would recommend you look at as part of your collective worship planning.  CLICK HERE

Information on the liturgical colours for different times of the year are available HERE

We also recommend the Lectionary App which gives you this information along with the Bible reading and associated prayers for each day which can be useful in planning Collective Worship.  This app is free to down load for the App store and Google Play.
