a leader must also have faith in the people she is to lead
to see good in them and raise them to higher achievement
through praise not condemnation, encouragement not criticism

Peer Support Networks

The Peer Support Network is bringing groups of school leaders together across the Diocese and region to work on shared leadership development priorities. It has been successful piloted in over 70 schools nationally in 2016/17, and for 2017/18 there are opportunities for leaders to come together in leadership development groups of 12-15 schools focusing on the Leadership of Teaching & Learning, Leadership of Character Education, and Leadership of Vision and Ethos. In addition there are opportunities for leaders to work in peer coaching triads with other leaders across the region. All the groups are facilitated by leading thinkers and practitioners in each field, and commence in October with a full day’s training session, followed by 3 x 3 hour sessions through the year and then a concluding day in the Summer Term. There are also extensive opportunities for leaders to collaborate with other groups working on similar issues across the country through the Foundation’s national network and online community.

Membership of the Foundation’s Peer Support Network costs £2 (+VAT) per pupil, with a cap of £750 for larger schools.
